Hello & Welcome

My name is Dr. Teresa Bobo and I serve humanity as a clinical health psychologist.

My approach in therapy is Integrative, as there is not one single theory that exists alone, by itself, without contribution from and consideration of all others. Picking one viewpoint to experience you from would limit and exclude all the other possibilities. It would be like picking a slice from the whole pie and believing it’s the best or the only one. The slice comes from the same pie, is made of the same ingredients, and doesn’t taste any different than the other slices.

To be as inclusive and nonjudgmental as possible, I abide in the middle of the pie; not choosing any particular piece, while simultaneously seeing all of them. This place of neutrality is what allows me to experience the totality of you, as you are. This viewpoint is referred to as, Holistic, and includes mind, body, and soul (i.e. spirit, consciousness, awareness, knowing, source energy, or God). There are many different names that people use to describe the qualities of being present and aware.

Most people seek therapy in the pursuit of happiness or love; engaging in various practices hoping to bring their suffering to an end. Distracting oneself or avoiding what is not wanted only works for a little while. The only way to move beyond where you’ve ever been, and step into being who you prefer to be, is to stop doing what you’ve always done, and face the limiting beliefs about who you think you are.

Identifying and understanding your automatic habits, “blueprints” and looking at your beliefs and poking them to see if they are true often brings up fear. When you start to dissolve the negative definitions of who you think you are, the next natural question is, “If I am not who I thought I was, then Who am I?”  If this is where you are, you are in the right place. If you are not here yet, we’ll get there.

Lastly, I am trained in several evidence-based interventions to include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive processing therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP), Biofeedback, Neurofeedback, Clinical Hypnosis, and Psychedelic Assisted Therapy. All of these interventions are facilitated in the spirit of Non-Duality. For more information on non-duality, please visit Rupert Spira’s website: https://rupertspira.com/non-duality
